This is mostly my sharing my disorganized notes from the meeting, so you might be asking David (me) for more details if any of this is unclear.
Let’s put it up front: starting in August 2019, Code for Fort Collins will be meeting at the Old Town (Fort Collins) Library on Peterson Street. The storied old building will be our home for the foreseeable future and we’re really excited about it.
This week we’re starting a brand new tradition at Code for Fort Collins: our annual fundraising drive. Why fundraise? So we’re better able to cover our incidental costs. Things like food, SaaS plans we need, and paying rent for a meeting space. Remember, Code for Fort Collins is a completely volunteer organization, and that donations to us (through Code for America, more on that tomorrow) are completely tax deductible. There’s a real 501(c)3 here 🤓
As we start 2019 we’d like to thank everyone for their interest and support of Code for Fort Collins through the years. We’re also so grateful for the residents and organizations of Northern Colorado we support and collaborate with.
Unconference? What the heck is that? Well, I’ll be able to tell you in more detail after I attend the Code For America Brigade Congress in beautiful Philadelphia, PA. Cue the music.
Code for Fort Collins wants your ideas for making the Fort Collins community better. Whether you’re looking for help with providing access to information the City of Fort Collins already has, building out a product that you think the city needs, or just giving us a general problem you have that you think technology could help with.
Code for Fort Collins will be presenting at Startup Week alongside Women Who Code, New Tech Fort Collins, and Fort Collins Innovation Community Initiative.
Reminder that there will not be a Code for Fort Collins Meetup on Thursday this week! (Nov. 20-26, 2016)
